A word from Yuri Roosblad, Our Director

Let’s Build the Future Together!

Dear ,

I’m thrilled to welcome you to UFBG! Since 2016, we’ve been on an incredible journey, and I’m excited for you to join us as we continue to grow and innovate.

At UFBG, we believe that we’re always better together, and with every step, we constantly improve. Your unique perspective and passion are exactly what we need to keep moving forward. Ownership is key here—I encourage you to take initiative, share your ideas, and drive positive change. I’m proud of what we’re building, and I can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make with us.

    Phase 1: The "pre-onboarding"

1. Tell us about yourself

Once your contract is signed, you will receive an email from the West Coast Supply Group HR team asking for a short introduction of yourself.

Make sure to send it as soon as possible—we can’t wait to introduce you to everyone!

2. About us

You'll get a second email from the HR tem with our core values. Next, your manager will aslo send you an email to introduce themselves.

3. Details

Finally, HR will send you all the last-minute details for your first day at the office.

Phase 2: Your first days at the office

1. The first steps

Upon arrival (9am), report yourself at reception and your manager will come and pick you up and take you upstairs to our offices. They will assign you your desk where your laptop and other materials will be waiting for you. You will receive a goody bag to familiarize yourself with UFBG’s products.

Your first day will be filled with setting up your laptop and mobile phone, meeting everyone and coffee meetings for a more in-depth introduction of your new team members.

2. Your AFAS Account

Setting up your AFAS account, both desktop and mobile version should be the first thing you do once your laptop is running.

Once you are logged in have a look at your AFAS account. You will find several tasks waiting for you to complete. Completing these tasks is mandatory as they are vital to your safety at the office.

    Phase 3: The onboarding presentations

2. Schedule

One of the things you will find in your goody bag is the onboarding schedule with a bunch of presentations you'll need to attend. These are really important for getting you up to speed and kicking off your career here at UFBG, so make sure you go to all of them! you will also find the dates and times for these in your Outlook calendar so that you won't miss out on any of them.

Quick note: We do the onboarding presentations at the start of each month. If you start mid-month, you'll get invited to the sessions next month.

Phase 4: Your first month at UFBG

1.First Impressions

Your first month (your probation period) will be full of first impressions and new learnings. Make sure to stay in close contact with your manager. Your manager has an obligation to sit with you after your first week to talk about how your first week has been and what can be expected fro the rest of the month (this goes both ways).

2. One-On-One Review

After 30 days you will have another "one-on-one" catch-up with your manager to discuss the next few months of your employment. Help yourself and your manager by making sure these meetings take place.
